Mala’s are a strand of 108 beads used for meditation and/or prayer in the form of a necklace that can also be worn as a bracelet. 108 is considered to be a sacred number. A prayer or mantra can be said quietly while rolling each bead between your thumb & middle finger of your receiving hand.
Many religions & spiritual practices have different types of prayer and meditation beads. Catholics use the Rosary, Buddhist & Hindu’s use Mala beads.
Malas can be made from several different types of materials. The ones I have chosen to sell in my shop are made of sandalwood beads strung on elastic so that it can be worn on your wrists as well as around your neck.
